The Dead Composers Society will be performing a special POPs concert on Saturday June 27th at 7:00pm at The Totah.

$5.00 at the door for admission.

We have put together a special “Recession Concession” menu with everything on the menu only $1 each.

What a great way to take the family out and not break the bank.

Tell all you know about this great event.

San Juan Stage Sound and Lighting Booth

San Juan Stage Sound and Lighting Booth

I thought you would enjoy this. This is a picture of the sound and light booth that existed in The Totah before I began remodeling. Notice the lighting dimmers. Sound was all cued from tape decks. This strangely resembles the rig I used when first entering into the sound and lighting business as a DJ. I built lighting fixtures using automotive lighting and an amplifier that was crossed over so that different frequencies lit up different colored lights to the beat of the music.

Dead Composers Society

The Dead Composers Society is turning out to be a huge success. Every month we get a few more people. The music is great and the casual atmosphere makes it so much fun.

The Totah would like to thank Tennille of Tennille’s Violin House for all the work she puts into these shows. They would never have happened if it wasn’t for her. She is the brains and the brawn behind the operation.

We would also like to thank Hans for all the promotion that he does for the shows.

To everyone involved with The Dead Composers, THANK YOU! I know it is TONS of work to make each show happen and we do appreciate it.

Make sure and be at The Totah at 5:00pm on the first Sunday of every month. Admission is $5.00. YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Rockabilly Music

First of all I want to appologize to those who came to the Three Bad Jacks show. With the band getting in so late, we didn’t have time to sound check and the volume was way out of control. The lead singer had his amp turned up too high and I had a hard time controlling the rest of the mix because of it. I also want to appologize for the language they used on stage. The Totah prides itself in being a family friendly environment and the promoter failed to relay that to the band. The show was great and they want to come back but I will make sure that volume and language are under control next time. Thanks to all that came out. I hope you had a great time. I knew there were a bunch of closet rockabilly freaks out there. We’ll make sure and keep that type of music coming to The Totah. Thanks!
