Local Plein Aire Oil painter Phillip West will be teaching a Beginning Oil Painting class at
Artifacts Gallery, 302 E. Main Street, :Learn the basics and some of the things accomplished painters know. The primary goal will be to learn how to paint and feel at ease while creating art on canvas. Also learn the basics of mixing and utilizing color, basic design, values, depiction of light and shadow, achieving atmosphere, etc. Most students will be able to take home 1 or 2 finished paintings at the end of the workshop.
